The hatchery is owned by Ecos Group. The larvae is obtained from thier own broodstock and they also work with organic hatcheries in Ecuador. PL12 larvae are transported to farms. Ecos Group Costa Rica's partnership with Rainbow Export Processing S.A., the sole certified organic shrimp processor in Costa Rica, has set a transformative course for the industry. Beyond its operations, Ecos Group Costa Rica leads initiatives in mangrove restoration, farm greening, and community empowerment. With a workforce exceeding 180 dedicated individuals, the company is at the forefront of effecting positive change.
