We all love how healthy we feel when we eat clean omega-rich seafood. We want everyone to enjoy this experience.  We’ve made it our mission to offer the highest quality, most sustainable, and tastiest farm-raised seafood on the planet. By creating a path toward people eating more seafood instead of an over-reliance on land-based animal protein, we can collectively reduce carbon emissions. 

What was once only found on the menus of fine dining restaurants, is now delivered directly to your doorstep. All of your seafood comes directly from the same open-ocean mariculture farms featured on the menus of OmegaBlue’s award-winning Farm-to-Table restaurant clients. Our farm partners never use hormones, preventative antibiotics, unethical practices, or GMO feed.

There’s no way to substitute for standards. That’s why we pay special attention to every step of the process. From food to water quality, our fish are cared for. We make sure to accommodate their natural tendencies - clean feed, clean water, clean fish.

After all, quality is influenced by how the animal lived. Was it healthy and content? Was it ever given antibiotics or hormones? Was it humanely raised on a farm with sustainable practices?

These are the questions we ask, and you should too.

 

Our Checklist

At Seatopia, we thrive to demystify the ongoing debate by ensuring every farm we partner with meet the highest, exacting standards.  It starts with nutrition. The nutritional quality of your seafood is largely attributed to what the fish eat, where they swim and how they are harvested. None of our farms use preventative antibiotics or hormones. Ever. Our farms use the highest quality, mostly algae-based natural feed generating higher levels of hearty and healthy omega-3 fatty acids, the good fats that help the fish stay healthy and retain a rich-fatty content when cooking.  Algae-based feeds also reduce the reliance on "feeder-fish" to create fish-meal which significantly lowers the effective Fish-In-Fish-Out (FIFO) ratio.  The farms we work with are leading the way in FIFO ratios.  All of the farms we work with implement strict stocking density policies to ensure the fish have ample space to social distance and the farm sites have been carefully selected for maximum current to minimize effluent concentration on the benthic environment.  High quality feed, low density environments, and clean water enable every farm we work with to produce clean seafood with no antibiotics, no hormones, and no-GMO brood stock.

Seatopia strives for excellence in every area, and that includes working with the best possible seafood processing facilities. We work with companies and farmers that are dedicated to doing the right thing, never cutting corners, and always looking for ways to improve.

Our partners' operating methods and facilities are routinely inspected and approved by the USDA or a comparable agency.  We also believe in fair labor practices. In line with our family and community values, we seek partners who treat their employees as part of a team.
