Mercury ≤ 0.1 ppm. Ten times stricter than the FDA.

Sashimi-grade seafood from named farms, third-party lab tested, blast-frozen at −10°F, delivered. Ora King came back at 0.017 ppm mercury and 3,430 mg EPA+DHA per serving — about eleven fish-oil capsules in one portion.

Mercury ≤ 0.1 ppm

Our ceiling is 10× stricter than the FDA’s 1.0 ppm action level. Ora King’s last harvest came back at 0.017 ppm. Run the numbers yourself.

Microplastics tested to 1 micron

Not detected in the samples analyzed. We publish the report either way — that is the point of publishing it.

3,430 mg EPA+DHA per serving

One Ora King portion carries roughly eleven fish-oil capsules’ worth of omega-3s, plus 34 g protein and 10 mcg vitamin D.

Your prenatal has 300 mg DHA. One Ora King portion has 3,430 mg.

Pregnancy is the one case where the mercury-versus-omega-3 trade-off actually matters, and it is the reason the FDA publishes a “Best Choice” tier at all: maximum omega-3s, minimum mercury.

Ora King’s last harvest tested at 0.017 ppm mercury — roughly 1/59th of the FDA’s 1.0 ppm action level — while delivering about 11× the DHA of a standard prenatal capsule per serving. You do not have to choose between the two, and you do not have to take our word for it: the lab report ships with the box.

Side by Side Comparison

Every claim on this page has a number behind it. Here is how that compares.

Most seafood brands and grocers never have to tell you what is actually in your fish. We publish it. Below is the head-to-head against what you would otherwise buy — the counter at Whole Foods, a wild-Alaskan subscription, or a bottle of fish-oil capsules.

“Not published” means exactly that: we could not find a per-harvest mercury or omega-3 figure to compare against. If a competitor starts publishing theirs, we will put the real number in this table.

What we test, what we don’t

A number is only worth something if you know its limits. Here are ours.

What we test

Mercury and microplastics on every harvest lot, plus EPA+DHA, protein, selenium and vitamin D per serving. Third-party labs — Edacious and Light Labs — not our own bench.

What we don’t

We test per harvest lot, not per individual portion, and results describe the samples analyzed. We do not screen for every heavy metal — mercury is the one that matters most in seafood, so it is the one we hold a ceiling on.

What we publish

The report, whatever it says. 134+ certificates and counting, each with the lab letterhead, the SKU and the date on it. Read them here.

Up to 36 g of protein per piece. No supplements required.

One piece of Seatopia Atlantic Salmon gives you as much protein as:

Peruvian scallops served on the half shell with salmon roe and caviar on a wooden board

Sashimi-grade is a lab result, not a menu word.

It means the mercury and microplastic numbers came back clean enough to eat it raw — so the easiest preparations are the best ones.

  1. Slice the filet thin and garnish with caviar, wasabi and soy
  2. Pan sear with sea salt and pepper, then squeeze lemon
  3. Drizzle scallops with olive oil, grate lime, add salt
  4. Bake a filet with garlic and onions

James Arthur Smith, Co-Founder and CEO of Seatopia

“We believe in eating with intention, sourcing with integrity, and restoring what has been lost.”

We choose to be stewards of the ocean and architects of a regenerative seafood system. When we make intentional choices about what we eat we are investing in the health of our planet and ourselves.

Factory farms pollute. Seatopia farms protect.

You hear it everywhere: “I only eat wild caught fish.” But “if current trends continue, we will see virtually all fish stocks collapse by the year 2048” — Dr. Boris Worm, Marine Biologist, Dalhousie University. The solution is clean regenerative aquaculture — not the factory fish farms that gave farming a bad name.
